Longwood Gardens’ renowned waterlily display is a favorite of guests during the summer season. The garden, designed by landscape architect Sir Peter Shepheard, features five pools that showcase more than 100 types of day- and night-flowering waterlilies, our iconic Victoria giant water-platters, and other aquatic plants.
Join Tim Jennings, curator of our waterlily collection, as he shares his favorite aquatic plants and much more in Everything About Aquatics. Learn the identification characteristics, cultural needs, and care of these plants, as well as basic design principles for creating your own aquatic garden. Go behind-the-scenes for a glimpse of how Longwood cares for, propagates, and overwinters its spectacular collection. You can even share your own water gardening experiences with fellow enthusiasts in this informative and fun course.
